A pizzeria starting point made for client handoff

When a pizzeria client arrives, the first week should not disappear into setup.

Fiamma Pizzeria is a bilingual static Astro 7 theme for freelance designers and small studios building independent pizzeria websites. It provides a replaceable fictional restaurant foundation with typed local configuration, paired English and Spanish content, a menu-led visitor path, and buyer documentation for a clear client handoff.

What's included

  • Six localized routes: `/`, `/menu/`, `/about/`, `/es/`, `/es/menu/`, and `/es/about/`.
  • A 48-item bilingual sample menu with stable IDs, localized names, descriptions, prices, local images, eight category sections, and five configurable pizza size variants.
  • Home sections for the hero, menu CTA, announcement bar, story and stats, signature menu, ambience gallery, private-dining and events showcase, contact form, OpenStreetMap presentation, testimonials, and FAQ.
  • An About route with story, philosophy, team, milestones, gallery, and menu/contact calls to action.
  • Typed buyer configuration for identity, contact values, hours, currency, navigation, social links, discovery policies, and external destinations.
  • A browser-persisted cart UI with variant-aware lines, quantity editing, removal, derived subtotals, a responsive native dialog, and keyboard/focus behavior.
  • A presentation-only contact form with Name, Email, Phone, Event, and Details fields plus local validation. It never sends or stores a message.
  • Local responsive imagery through Astro's asset pipeline, with WebP output, width variants, localized alt text, and lazy loading where appropriate.
  • Semantic landmarks, heading structure, labels, keyboard-operable controls, visible focus states, and reduced-motion handling.
  • Localized metadata, canonical and hreflang links, Open Graph/Twitter metadata, sitemap generation, page-aware Restaurant/WebSite/WebPage/ BreadcrumbList/Menu JSON-LD, configurable `robots.txt`, and `llms.txt`.
  • Core page content that remains useful without JavaScript, with progressive enhancements for interaction.
  • Static `dist/` output deployable to ordinary static hosts or Cloudflare Workers Static Assets.
  • Buyer documentation covering setup, customization, localization, deployment, design tokens, licensing/support, and third-party notices.

A simple stack to own

Built with Astro components, TypeScript, local Markdown pages and typed data, and plain CSS. Replace the fictional identity, contact values, hours, menu, imagery, localized copy, and external links in the included buyer-facing files.

Important boundaries

  • The included cart stays in the visitor’s browser and checkout is disabled by default. Buyers can adapt the checkout handoff to connect the cart experience to an external delivery or ordering service; that integration must be configured and tested separately.
  • The contact form validates in the browser but never sends or stores a message.
  • The theme does not include a CMS, database, server backend, accounts, analytics, payment processing, order processing, reservation processing, email delivery, or server-side form storage.
  • The demo restaurant, reviews, names, metrics, contact values, service details, and external links are fictional and should be replaced before launch.
