Every legal template ships the same three things: practice areas, attorney bios, a contact form. They are interchangeable, and none of them is built for the one practice area where the buying decision works differently.

Personal injury clients do not choose a firm by reading its philosophy. They choose by looking at what it has recovered. Verdict is built around that — a filterable case results archive where the dollar amount is the largest element on the page, individual result pages that walk through the situation, the work and the outcome, and result cards that reappear on the home page, on every practice area, and on every attorney profile.

The second gap is compliance. Publishing a verdict or settlement amount triggers disclaimer requirements in most US states, and no competing template handles it. Verdict ships four reusable disclaimer components — results, testimonials, attorney advertising, contingency fees — already placed next to every amount, every testimonial, and every "no fee unless we win" claim in the theme. The attorney advertising label ships switched off, so a firm outside New York or New Jersey does not publish a designation it never adopted.

No stock photography anywhere. No handshakes, no gavels, no suited people at desks. Typography, whitespace and a single brass accent carry the design.

CASE RESULTS — THE CENTRE OF THE THEME

• Filterable archive: filter by practice area and resolution type, sorted by amount descending, with a working empty state

• Filtering is vanilla JavaScript over prerendered markup — no framework, no hydration, and every result stays visible with JavaScript disabled

• 15 seeded case results, each with full narrative content: the situation, what we did, the outcome

• Individual result pages with a facts table and prose capped at a readable measure

• Verdict badges read differently from Settlement and Arbitration, so the rarer outcome looks rarer

• One card component reused across the home page, practice areas, attorney profiles and the archive

BAR-COMPLIANCE COMPONENTS

• ResultsDisclaimer — for any published amount

• TestimonialDisclaimer — for any client testimonial

• AttorneyAdvertisingLabel — prop-toggled, off by default, documented for New York and New Jersey

• ContingencyFeeNote — for any "no fee unless we win" claim

All four are already placed throughout the theme, and each carries placement guidance in the source.

INTAKE FORM BUILT FOR INJURY CASES

• Eleven fields, including date of accident, treatment status, police report, insurance contact, and whether the prospect is already represented by another attorney

• Posts to any endpoint you configure through an environment variable — Formspree, Basin, Getform. No backend to host

• With no endpoint set, the form disables its own submit button and shows a setup notice, so a real enquiry is never silently dropped

CONTENT, NOT A CMS

• Astro Content Collections are the editing interface: four typed collections for case results, practice areas, attorneys and testimonials

• Schema-validated — a typo in a reference fails the build instead of rendering a broken page

• Seeded with 15 case results, 8 practice areas, 3 attorneys and 3 testimonials, all with real written content

BUILD QUALITY

• Astro 7 and Tailwind CSS 4, static output

• Lighthouse 100 / 100 / 100 / 100 — performance, accessibility, best practices, SEO — measured on the live demo, not on localhost. The results archive scores 98 on performance because it renders 15 cards

• Every colour and type step is a token; zero raw hex values in markup

• WCAG AA contrast verified programmatically across every page, including a documented rule for where the brass accent is and is not safe as text

• Newsreader and Inter self-hosted and bundled — no Google Fonts CDN request

• Mobile-first, verified at 390px, 768px and 1440px

• One h1 per page, no skipped heading levels, semantic landmarks throughout

36 PAGES

• Home, About, Attorneys, Practice Areas, Case Results, Contact

• Dynamic routes for individual results, attorneys and practice areas

• Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and a standalone Legal Disclaimer page

• Custom 404 that leads with the phone number

A NOTE ON THE DISCLAIMERS

The four disclaimer components are editable placeholders, and the three legal pages are templates. Attorney advertising rules differ substantially from state to state — what New York requires is not what Texas requires, and some states impose no requirement at all. The wording shipped here is a reasonable starting structure, not legal advice, and it has not been reviewed for any particular jurisdiction.

Consult your state bar's rules of professional conduct, and have your own counsel review and rewrite the disclaimers and legal pages before publishing.

This theme supplies the slot. It does not supply the advice.
