Mercer

Astro theme for developer and product-engineer portfolios

Mercer is a six-page developer portfolio theme: dark, brutalist, confident. Giant sentence-case display type that ends on an accent full stop, lowercase monospace as the system voice, heavy rules and hard offset shadows. A cmd/ctrl-K command palette jumps to any page or case study, two full case-study write-ups generate straight from your project data, and a validated contact form replaces a mailto link with something that actually checks itself.

Built for

Developers and freelancers who need a portfolio, for themselves or for a client who writes code. One payment covers unlimited client projects, so the same theme can serve several clients without buying it again.

What is in it

  • Astro 7, zero frameworks, one global stylesheet
  • Lenis smooth scroll and sparing scroll-triggered reveals
  • Cmd/ctrl-K command palette (with a Ctrl-K label on non-Mac keyboards), generated case-study pages and a validated contact form, all content driven
  • A reading rail on case-study pages that tracks scroll position
  • Four colour packs with a one-click switcher: Volt, Plasma, Signal and Riso
  • Fully responsive, respects prefers-reduced-motion, semantic HTML
  • Builds to pure static files, deploy free on Vercel, Netlify or GitHub Pages

What you get

The full Astro source, a README covering how to make it your own, the demo content, and image credits. Demo photography is Unsplash and Pexels placeholder imagery, credited in the theme and meant to be swapped for the client's own before a site goes live.

Licence

Use on unlimited personal or client projects. No resale or redistribution of the theme itself.
