Calder is a five-page photographer portfolio theme, built around scroll choreography instead of static galleries. A full-bleed opening frame with the name at poster scale, a pinned image stack that covers plate over plate, a horizontal pan driven by vertical scroll, and one moment per series where a print grows from book-plate size to full-bleed. Every series is content driven, so adding a new body of work is an edit rather than a new page to build.
Built for
Developers and freelancers building sites for photographers. One payment covers unlimited client projects, so the same theme can serve several clients without buying it again.
What is in it
- Astro 7, zero frameworks, one global stylesheet
- Lenis smooth scroll plus a pinned image stack, a scroll-driven horizontal pan and a grow-to-full-bleed sequence
- Series pages built from your content, add a body of work without touching a template
- Chromeless lightbox viewer with keyboard paging, and a commission enquiry form
- Four colour packs with a one-click switcher: Gallery, Museum, Darkroom and Selenium
- Fully responsive, every choreography gated behind prefers-reduced-motion (a complete static book when motion is off), semantic HTML
- Builds to pure static files, deploy free on Vercel, Netlify or GitHub Pages
What you get
The full Astro source, a README covering how to make it your own, the demo content, and image credits. Demo photography is Unsplash and Pexels placeholder imagery, credited in the theme and meant to be swapped for the client's own before a site goes live.
Licence
Use on unlimited personal or client projects. No resale or redistribution of the theme itself.
